A clear, trustworthy website for an online maths tutor, built to show credentials quickly and make it easy for parents to get in touch.
AC Maths is an online tutoring service run by Andy Coombs, a fully qualified secondary maths teacher based in Bude. With years of classroom experience, including time as Head of Maths, Andy needed a website that felt professional, calm and easy for parents to trust.
The site was built from the ground up as a focused one-page experience, designed to explain the offer clearly, surface the right credentials, and make booking a free consultation straightforward.
Background
Andy already had the expertise and a growing tutoring practice, but needed a proper online presence that reflected the quality of the teaching. Parents looking for a tutor need confidence fast: qualifications, experience, safeguarding, how sessions work, and a clear next step.
The website needed to do that without feeling salesy or cluttered. It also needed to work well on mobile, since many parents will find and contact a tutor from their phone.
Challenges
The main challenge was building trust quickly. Maths tutoring is a personal decision for parents, so the site had to communicate credibility without becoming dense or formal.
At the same time, the offer needed to stay easy to understand. Pricing, session types, and how online lessons work all had to be clear at a glance, with a strong path through to enquiry or a free consultation.
